We celebrate the beauty of eighteenth century northern European lighting design with our Belvedere Chandelier. By editing and paring away the antique excess, we were able to create an intriguingly simple and dynamic sculptural form. The Swedish Crystal Chandelier expresses the essence of northern European lighting design in the eighteenth century, when crystals were used to enhance candlelight. A sparkling combination of beads and ornaments adds an elegant touch to this exuberant chandelier. Despite many layers of “over the top” decorative details, Joe Niermann saw promise in the framework underneath. He whittled away at the design and reduced it to the basic underlying structure.
